The Hammers Cobalt Blue Lobster is one of the most striking ornamental crayfish you’ll ever see. It will add an amazing splash of brilliant blue color that’s sure to draw attention to your freshwater aquarium. The coloration of this blue beauty intensifies as it matures.Due to selective breeding, the Hammers Cobalt Blue Lobster will not lose this blue coloration, except in times of stress. The Hammers Cobalt Blue Lobster may arrive a brown coloration due to shipping stress but will eventually regain its bright blue coloration. They remain relatively small in the aquarium, only attaining a total length of five inches.

House the Hammers Cobalt Blue Lobster in an aquarium of at least 20 gallons with medium or fine grain substrate for burrowing. They are territorial towards their own kind and a larger aquarium will be needed if housing more than one lobster. To house multiple lobsters, provide at least 20 gallons per lobster and include plenty of rocks and plants as cover.

The Hammers Cobalt Blue Lobster is generally peaceful, except with its own kind. They will not typically bother fish, unless they are very small, and slow enough for the lobster to catch.

These lobsters are omnivorous, and will act as a scavenger in the aquarium, eating any food that comes to rest on the bottom. Supplement their diet with a qualitysinking pellet, flake food and dried algae.
